He graduated from Kent State University with a double major in Anthropology and Archaeology with a focus on the social significance of body modification in Meso-american cultures. He moved to Austin in 2005 where he met his mentor, Bear, who was his most influential teacher and the source of the majority of his knowledge and expertise in the body modification field. Pineapple started Shaman Body Piercing & Modifications, inside Golden Apple Studios, in May of 2006 when his employer, Mercy Body Piercing, left. Shaman has grown and expanded over the years and is now Shaman Modifications Tattoo & Body Piercing in North Austin, and Shaman Modifications Body Piercing Studios in East Austin and Dallas. Annie Annie has been fascinated by piercings and many forms of body modification since she was very young, growing up she remembers thinking how fun and unique these could be for each specific person. As she got older she began to finally tap into that love and started getting piercings for herself. After many trips to see local piercers and lots of questions she ended up taking her first position in a studio as counter staff at the age of 21 and her interest in that world began to grow even more.After finishing her apprenticeship in Orlando, Florida she finally got the chance to fulfill her dream into a reality. Annie has now been professionally piercing full-time since 2014 and spends much of that time trying to learn new and safer techniques to make things easier for each client she interacts with. She takes the safety and well-being of each person that she gets the opportunity to work with quite seriously and works very hard to make sure the process is an enjoyable one, from the initial procedure all the way through the healing process.Annie moved to Dallas in April of 2019 to join the Shaman team and has been a proud member of the Association of Professional Piercers since the start of 2020. She cannot wait to keep growing and using her passion for body piercing to continue her education within the industry. Travis

Travis grew up in Southern California; he developed a growing interest in body piercing at a young age and decided to pursue it as a career. In October of 2015, after a two-year long apprenticeship, he became a full-fledged body piercer. In 2019, Travis moved to Las Vegas to pierce for a bit until 2021, when he made the move to pierce with us here in Austin!

With his years of experience in body art, his passion for adornment and self-expression continue to blossom. Travis pushes himself to learn and improve with each new client in order to provide the best experience possible!
