New Future Star: Neha Suvarna
Continuing with our tradition of building a diverse workforce here at BVLA, we are thrilled to bring Neha Suvarna on board. Neha is from the Southern Indian state of Karnataka.
She arrived in the US at age 8 and comes to us by way of New Orleans, Washington, and the Bay Area. In her short time here, she has already learned simple soldering, making rings and more. Our QC staff loves her attention to detail and frequently requests her skills for their department!
Neha loves Alexandrite, Tanzanite, Emerald, and Padparadscha Sapphire. Currently her favorite BVLA pieces are - Lia (obsessed with reverse set gems), Facade, Elaine 10mm, Talus Cuff, Virgil and yes – the Crawdad!! It reminds her of growing up in Louisiana!!
Gemstone Spotlight: Rutilated Quartz
Rutilated quartz contains acicular (needle-like) inclusions of rutile. Rutile is a mineral composed primarily of titanium dioxide.
