New Pyrite Shapes

We have new Pyrite shapes!

Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral. It's known for its cubic formations and for its tendency to form in diverse geological conditions.

The name Pyrite is derived from the Greek word “pyr” meaning fire, as it sparks when struck by steel.

Nodules of pyrite have been found in prehistoric burial mounds, which suggests their use as a means to produce fire.

Also known as “Fools Gold”, the mineral’s gold color and metallic luster often cause it to be mistaken for gold.

Pyrite has a Mohs hardness of 6-6.5.
